JC: How did you get your sponsors?
Jonas: The local shop Cutre (Juan Enrique and Jonas) helped me a lot between 1997 and 2000. The gave me the equipment and helped me with travelling and clothing.
JC: What are your ambitions?
Jonas: My ambitions are to jump the highest that I can in the air, go as high as I can in the rankings but at the same time still having fun when I am sailing.
JC: Do you like the travel side of windsurfing?
Jonas: That is what I really like about windsurfing... travelling, seeing new things and meeting different people from other cultures.
JC: What about when your went out to Maui... did that blow your mind?
Jonas: It was good to stay there but I wouldn´t say that it blew my mind. It was a good experience but not really a revolution for me.
JC: What was your worst moment of the year to date?
Jonas: It occurred during the Vargas PWA contest. In my first heat I did a high back loop, landing it perfectly, but there was not enough wind to pass the next wave.
